ARGfest (Toronto)

Later this month keep your eyes peeled for WhoDunnit Events' Creative Director (Vanessa B Baylen) at this year's ARGfest.

What-fest?

ARGfest is a celebration of transmedia storytelling, also known as ARGs (alternate reality games). These are relatively new terms and as yet, quite all-encompassing. Experienced a TV show's spin-off web-plus-more experience? That's one. Read a book which had links to a website and real phone numbers or email addresses you could connect with? That's one. Been to a WhoDunnit Event? No question about it, that's one.

Transmedia is the current catch-all term for things which span multiple mediums (perhaps due to the word "multi-media" having already been taken). This doesn't have to include technology, but it commonly does. At this year's ARGfest, we are looking forward to meeting some local (and less-local) practitioners and fans, hearing what's the buzz (care of an exciting line up of guest speakers), and looking forward to seeing you there!

Flying North

WhoDunnit Events has presented its unique flavour of interactive experiences in an ever increasing number of Commonwealth countries... and soon there will be another one added to that list. WhoDunnit Events is moving its home base to Canada! We will still be available to prepare an event in a town near you, but our local time zone will move from ahead-of-the-world-Australia to behind-GMT-Canada. Goodbye (for now) desert and hullo snow.
